There is a specific moment at dusk on Marseille’s shoreline when the Mediterranean breeze shifts, the heat drops, and the crowd begins to blur into a collective, sun-drenched energy. But this July, the French Riviera is trading its usual soundtrack for something entirely more intoxicating.

From July 23rd to 26th, Delta Festival is staged to pull off a brilliant piece of sonic alchemy: transforming the South of France into a high-energy Brazilian dreamscape.

By blending the infectious spirit of Brazilian Carnival with a heavyweight lineup of international electronic acts and local favourites, Delta isn't just throwing a party – they’re building a world. Between the water activities, the beach football games, and the thematic ‘villages,’ this is the immersive escape your summer calendar has been screaming for.

An exceptional Brazilian program and entertainment

The Colisee stage is set to become the festival’s pulse with a two-hour Brazilian takeover featuring 17 artists curated to bring the heat. Embodying the energy of Brazilian Funk is MC Menor, the force behind the viral anthem ‘Menina de Vermelho,’ alongside the legendary Salomé de Bahia, who’ll be injecting soulful, sun-drenched vibes into the Marseille air and other incredible names such as Bianca Costa and Roberta Gomes.

To top off the Brazilian sauce, expect a sensory explosion of Capoeira, beach soccer, and authentic street food at the Brazilian Village. The crown jewel? A massive Carnival Parade of 100 performers in yellow and green costumes, where professional sambistas bring the kind of prestige and rhythm usually reserved for the Sambadrome.

9 worlds to explore beyond the booth

Boredom isn’t on the menu at Delta. Every corner of the site is a curated universe, featuring 9 themed villages designed to keep the energy peaking between sets. If you need a break from the bass, Le Village des Arts is your creative sanctuary, where 90 artists bring the grounds to life with live performances, pop-up exhibitions, and immersive body painting. For those looking to swap the stage flashing lights for the sea breeze, Le Village de Mer is the ultimate Mediterranean refresh. Think of acro-yoga on the sand, kayaking, and a giant belly-slide for the adrenaline seekers.

But Delta isn’t just about the party; it’s also about purpose. At Le Village Environnement, you can dive into the cause with hands-on sustainability workshops and stands dedicated to protecting our dancefloors (and the planet). To round out the experience, Le Village Territoire celebrates Marseille in all its grit and glory, blending local history, tourism, and the city’s unique cultural heartbeat into one sun-drenched corner.

6 stages of non-stop rhythm

It’s no exaggeration to call Delta the heavyweight champion of the South of France.

Spread across six meticulously designed stages, the programming is a masterclass in diversity, ensuring that no matter your ‘main character’ soundtrack, you’re covered.

For the high-BPM purists, techno heavyweights like Lilly Palmer and the electrifying Patrick Mason are set to turn the Mediterranean sand into a sprawling dancefloor. If you’re chasing those sun-drenched, hands-in-the-air singalongs, the lineup pivots effortlessly toward the viral energy of Trinix, the nostalgic anthems of Cascada, and the heavy-hitting rhythms of L2B and Bellini. From the raw grit of French Hip-Hop and Reggae to the polished heights of global Pop, Delta has curated a world where every subculture has a home.

It’s a collective effort

While the stages grab the headlines, the true heartbeat of Delta is the collective of 700 committed players working tirelessly behind the scenes. This isn't just a production crew; it's a massive network of activists, environmentalists, and local partners who fuel the festival’s soul.

At the World of Possibilities, France’s largest Youth Forum, Delta elevates the rave into a cultural movement. This year, the focus turns toward the ‘Brazilian Land of Talents,’ welcoming Vera Cintia Alvarez, the Consul General of Brazil, to lead an international Agora dedicated to diplomacy and the power of global youth.

The community spirit extends from the podium to the plate, as world-renowned chef and ambassador of Brazilian cuisine, Alessandra Montagne, takes the stage to explore the intersection of creativity and cultural influence.

The Prado playground: Rio energy, Marseille soul

Marseille is the perfect backdrop for a Brazilian takeover because both share that same raw, sun-soaked energy. Before the gates open, take a leap into the turquoise waters of the Calanques or grab a pastis at the Vieux-Port to watch the city wake up.

The festival takes place at the Prado Beaches, offering you that Mediterranean bliss where the sand is your dancefloor and the sea is your literal backyard. There aren't many places on Earth where you can catch a high-energy DJ set, cool off with a midday swim in turquoise waters, and be back at the stage before the next drop.

Your Delta Cabana awaits

Ultimately, Marseille has never looked – or sounded – quite like this. By seamlessly blending the raw energy of the French electronic underground with the golden, sun-soaked spirit of Rio, Delta Festival is delivering something far rarer than a standard weekend on the summer circuit: a genuine cross-continental collision.

Whether you find yourself losing it to a high-octane mainstage set or wandering through the soulful depths of the cultural villages, it's a rare chance to experience the best of both hemispheres at once.

Secure your spot for Delta Festival, join the parade, and let the Mediterranean do the rest.
