Countrypunkheld Jason Ringenberg, natuurlijk bekend van Jason & the Scorchers, liet na lange tijd weer van zich horen met zijn sterke comebackplaat Stand Tall. Het album staat vol swingende en cheeky nummers die herinneringen oproepen aan The Ramones, hij kruipt in de huid van Hank Williams en maakt een muzikaal huppeltje richting The Pogues.

Tijdens de covidperiode had hij op zijn boerderij alle tijd om, tussen de kippen, te reflecteren op de wereld. Dat resulteerde in het energieke album Rhinestoned, een plaat waar je gegarandeerd weer van opgepept raakt.

Na jaren zonder optredens in Europa, kwam hij gelukkig weer buurten met His Barnstormers op Zwarte Cross en het Sjock Festival in België. Het tentdak ging er bijna af door hun enorm opzwepende, dampende show.

Ook solo staat Jason nog altijd sterk op het podium, met mooie verhalen tussen de nummers door. Daarnaast werkte hij recent samen met Victoria Liedtke aan een project met klassieke countryduetten en er staat een memoir op de planning dat wordt uitgegeven door de Country Music Hall of Fame.

Jason Ringenberg, the legendary country-punk hero best known as the frontman of Jason & the Scorchers, made a powerful return after many years with his acclaimed comeback album Stand Tall. The record is packed with swinging, cheeky songs that evoke Ramones, channel the spirit of Hank Williams, and take a musical hop toward The Pogues.
During the COVID period, Jason spent time on his farm reflecting on the state of the world—surrounded by his chickens. The result was the energetic album Rhinestoned, a record guaranteed to lift your spirits.

After years away from European stages, he finally returned with His Barnstormers to deliver explosive performances at Zwarte Cross and Sjock Festival in Belgium. Their intensely driving and high-octane show nearly blew the roof off the tent.
Jason remains a compelling solo performer as well, captivating audiences with great stories between songs. He has also recently collaborated with Victoria Liedtke on a project featuring classic country duets, and a memoir is in the works, to be published by the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
