When the Dublin band Gurriers released their debut album Come And See in 2024, they cemented their status as a raw, unmistakable new voice in the thriving Irish punk scene. In the months following the release, milestones came thick and fast for the band: an appearance on “Later with Jools Holland”; headlining sets in the Woodsies and Leftfield tents at Glastonbury; an arena show in their hometown with Turnstile and a performance with Kneecap at Wembley. Their second album may be titled ‘Nobody’s Coming To Save You,’ but it might just as well have the subtitle ‘harder, better, faster, stronger.’ From the rattling tension in the opening moments of the title track, which then gives way to a cacophonous, cathartic climax, “Nobody’s Coming To Save You” takes the atmosphere of a sweaty basement venue and blows it up to stadium proportions.
